ABSTRACT A pumping unit primarily for dispensing liquid detergent into the tank of a dishwashing machine comprises a bellows pump of which the bellows define a detergent-receiving chamber communicating with a detergent supply passage and a detergent delivery passage. Each said passage is associated with a non-return value. The bellows are biased to an expanded condition and draw detergent into the additive-receiving chamber on the expansion stroke. Upon collapse of the bellows by means of pressure-responsive and weaker second bellows, detergent is ejected through said delivery passage. The second bellows are in communication with a source of main liquid flow under pressure.
