Picture data read out from a VRAM 18 are sent via line buffers 75a to 75d to a selection synthesis unit 63. The line buffer 75d seizes picture data supplied from outside for sending the seized picture data to the VRAM 18. The VRAM 18 can write the picture data from outside supplied via the line buffer 75d and read out the picture data based on addresses from a controller in the same way as other picture data. On the other hand, cache memories 74a and 74b can read out picture data under control by the controller 71 to display plural pictures in a tiled pattern on a display screen.
Des données d'image lues d'une mémoire VRAM (18) sont envoyées par l'intermédiaire des tampons de ligne (75a à 75d) à une unité de synthèse de sélection (63). Le tampon de ligne (75d) prend les données d'image fournies d'une source externe afin d'envoyer ces données saisies à la mémoire VRAM (18). La mémoire VRAM (18) peut stocker les données d'image provenant de l'extérieur et fournies par le tampon de ligne (75d) et ces données peuvent être extraites de la mémoire selon les adresses provenant d'un contrôleur de la même manière que d'autres données d'image. D'autre part, des données d'image peuvent être extraites des mémoires-caches (74a et 74b) commandées par le contrôleur (71) afin d'afficher sur un écran plusieurs images arrangées selon un motif en mosaïque.
