ABSTRACT 3-Oxopropyl isocyanurate compositions are pre- pared by addition of acrolein to isocyanuric acid. Re- action of the 3-oxopropyl isocyanurate compositions with alcohols yields hemiacetals and acetals. The compositions and their hemiacetals and acetals are useful polymerizing or cross-linking agents for polyfunctional compounds con- taining aldehyde-reactive groups.
