The invention relates to the use of adenosine compounds described by formula (I) and certain derivatives thereof for producing a medicine for the treatment of the insulin resistance syndrome and diabetes. In formula (I), K is N, NO, or CH; Q is CH2 or O; R6 is hydrogen, alkyl, allyl, 2-methallyl, 2-butenyl, or cycloalkyl; X is (a) or (b); E is O or S; Y is e.g. hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl, aryl; n and p are independently 0, 1, 2 or 3 provided that n + p is at least 1; T is e.g. hydrogen, alkyl, acyl, thioacyl, halo, carboxyl; R1, R2 and R3 are independently H, alkyl, or cycloalkyl; A is hydrogen, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, or OR'; B is hydrogen, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, or OR"; R' and R" are e.g independently hydrogen, alkyl, aralkyl or carbamoyl.

L'invention se rapporte à l'utilisation de composés de l'adénosine représentés par la formule (I) et à certains dérivés de ces composés qui permettent de produire un médicament pour le traitement du syndrome de résistance à l'insuline et du diabète. Dans la formule (I), K est N, N.fwdarw.O, ou CH; Q est CH¿2? ou O; R¿6? est hydrogène, alkyle, allyle, 2-méthallyle, 2-butényle, ou cycloalkyle; X est représenté par la formule (II) ou la formule (III) ; E est O ou S; Y est par exemple hydrogène, alkyle, aralkyle, aryle; n et p sont indépendamment égaux à 0, 1, 2 ou 3, à condition que n + p soit supérieur ou égal à 1; T est par exemple hydrogène, alkyle, acyle, thioacyle, halo, carboxyle; R¿1?, R¿2? et R¿3? son indépendamment H, alkyle, ou cycloalkyle; A est hydrogène, alkyle, hydroxyalkyle, alkoxyalkyle, ou OR'; B est hydrogène, alkyle, hydroxyalkyle, alkoxyalkyle, ou OR"; R' et R" sont par exemple indépendamment hydrogène, alkyle, aralkyle ou carbamoyle.
