The invention provides recombinant adenoviral vectors which are capable of eliciting immunity against the pre-erythrocytic stage of the life cycle of the malaria parasite. In particular, the invention provides a recombinant, replication deficient simian adenoviral vector which encodes an antigen comprising the thrombospondin-related adhesion protein (TRAP), and also immunogenic compositions (e.g. vaccines) comprising the vector and methods of using such compositions.
L'invention concerne des vecteurs adénoviraux de recombinaison qui sont capables de provoquer une immunité contre le stade pré-érythrocytique du cycle de vie du parasite du paludisme. L'invention concerne notamment un vecteur adénoviral de recombinaison du singe à réplication déficiente qui code un antigène qui comprend la protéine d'adhésion associée à la thrombospondine (TRAP), ainsi que des compositions immunogènes (p. ex. vaccins) qui comprennent le vecteur et des procédés d'utilisation de telles compositions.
