An adenovirus wherein at least one portion of at least one loop region of the hexon is changed. In one embodiment, the adenovirus, prior to modification, is of a first serotype, and at least a portion of at least one loop region of the hexon is removed and replaced with at least a portion of at least one loop region of the hexon of an adenovirus of a second serotype. Such modified adenoviruses do not have epitopes which are recognized by neutralizing antibodies to the unmodified adenovirus of the first serotype.

On décrit un adénovirus dans lequel au moins une partie d'au moins une région de boucle de l'hexon est changée. Dans une forme de réalisation, l'adénovirus, avant sa modification, est d'un premier sérotype et au moins une partie d'au moins une région de boucle de l'hexon est enlevée et remplacée par au moins une partie de l'hexon d'un adénovirus d'un deuxième sérotype. Ces adénovirus modifiés ne comportent pas d'épitopes qui sont reconnus par des anticorps neutralisants de l'adénovirus non modifié du premier sérotype.
