Abstract of the Disclosure: A vulcanizable rubber composition comprising a rubber component, a formaldehyde-donor and a formaldehyde-acceptor, the formaldehyde-acceptor being a co-condensate of formaldehyde with a mixture of resorcinol and a phenol other than resorcinol, or a mixture of a condensate of resorcinol with formaldehyde and a condensate of the phenol with formaldehyde, which is useful for achieving excellent adhesion of rubber to reinforc- ing materials simultaneously with vulcanization. - 1 -
