Abstract Composites of matter having properties that make them strong adhesives to various substrates, especially to polar substrates. These adhesive blends comprise medium density polyethylene, linear low density polyethylene and a high density polyethylene grafted with or containing in its main chain unsaturated or sat- urated carboxylic acids or derivatives. The disclosure also includes composite structures having one or more substrates with the adhesive blend adhered thereto and to methods of making these composites.
