The invention concerns a method for the finishing process of a fibrous web, characterized in that it consists in applying on said fibrous web a polymer adhesive composition comprising a combination of optionally hydrogenated saccharides, having a low monosaccharide and disaccharide content, a limited polysaccharide content but a sufficiently high oligosaccharide content between DP 3 and DP 9. The invention also concerns a resulting paper or flat cardboard with enhanced physical, mechanical and/or optical properties
L'invention a pour objet un procédé de traitement d'ennoblissement d'une nappe fibreuse, caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à appliquer sur ladite nappe fibreuse une composition adhésive de polymère(s) comprenant une combinaison de saccharides, éventuellement hydrogénés, présentant une teneur faible en monosaccharides et disaccharides, une teneur limitée en polysaccharides et par contre une teneur suffisamment élevée en oligosaccharides de DP 3 à DP 9. L'invention a également pour objet l'obtention d'un papier ou d'un carton plat aux propriétés physiques, mécaniques et/ou optiques améliorées.
