ABSTRACT This invention is a method of bonding a first solid substrate to a second solid substrate. The method is characterized by applying a functionally effective amount of an arylcyclobutene monomeric composition to a surface of the first substrate. The surface containing the monomeric composition is contacted with a surface of the second substrate. The monomeric composition is then subjected to conditions sufficient to bond the two substrates.
