The invention provides an adhesive composition suitable for use in an insulating tape having improved plasticizer resistance, comprising from 13 % to 42 % of a polyisoprene homopolymer, from 13 % to 42 % of a styrene-isoprene-styrene copolymer, from 25 % to 55 % of an aliphatic tackifying agent containing from 4 to 6 carbon atoms, and from 2 % to 20 % of an end block reinforcing resin.
