A method of curing a thermosetting adhesive (18) provided at the interface of two overlapping members (12, 14), the method comprising the steps of: providing two overlapping members (12, 14) having at their interface a thermosetting adhesive (18); providing plasma discharge heating means (24) operable to produce a plasma jet (42); and operating said plasma discharge heating means (24) to produce a plasma jet (42) to heat the or each overlapping member (12, 14) and thereby cure said thermosetting adhesive (18).
