- 8 - ABSTRACT A pressure transducer in which a sensor beam is connected to a diaphragm my a shaft assembly which is made up of a first shaft element attached to the sensor, and a second stop element attached to the diaphragm, and a rigidifying material connecting the first and second elements. The stop element is formed with a hollow cylindrical portion surrounding the shaft element, and the rigidifying material fills the space between them.
