ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Adhesive plaster compositions are provided by treating particles of Y2O3, Eu2O3, Gd2O3 or Nd2O3 with dilute acid solutions. The resulting compositions have been found to spontaneously harden into rigid reticulated masses resembling plaster of Paris. Upon heating, the hardened material is decomposed into the oxide, yet retains the reticulated rigid structure.
