An adhesive polymer comprising a telechelic polymer having a narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) and being chain-extended with a polyisocyanate. The telechelic polymer is prepared by polymerizing one or more radically polymerizable monomers in the presence of a transition metal, a ligand, and a polymerization initiator, and wherein OH groups are contained in one or more of the polymerization initiator, the polymerizable monomers and a polymerization terminator.
