A metal leaf adhesive transferring sheet is disclosed and includes a transfer sheet (10) which is provided with a paper backing (12) and a release layer (13). The release layer of the transfer sheet is coacted with an adhesive (14). The adhesive may be transferred to a substrate (18) by either burnishing an image on the first side of the transfer sheet or wetting the transfer sheet if a water release type release sheet is used. Thereafter, metal leaf may be applied to the adhesive image that is transferred to the substrate. A method of transferring metal leaf to a substrate is disclosed.
Une feuille de transfert adhésive pour feuille de métal comprend une feuille (10) de transfert qui est dotée d'un support papier (12) et d'une couche (13) de libération qui est elle-même (13) recouverte d'un adhésif (14). Ce dernier (14) peut être transféré sur un substrat (18) de deux manières: soit on gratte une image sur le premier côté de la feuille de transfert, soit on mouille la feuille de transfert s'il s'agit d'une feuille de libération du type libération par apport d'eau. On peut ensuite appliquer la feuille de métal sur l'image adhésive qui est transféré sur le substrat. On décrit également un procédé permettant de transférer une feuille de métal sur un substrat.
