2132314 9319269 PCTABS00025 A security device (20) is described that is simple and reliable. It includes a body member (26) which is adhesively (32) attached to the surface (22) of a large object such as a motor vehicle. A protective knife-edged (42) boss (28) surrounds and protects the adhesive attaching means (32) to defeat attempts to pry the body member (26) off the vehicle. Housed within the body member is a steel tube (48), and a locking cable (56) extends through the tube (48) to secure personal property. A cavity (58) is provided for easy installation of the tube (48) within the body member (26), and a flange (52) is attached to the tube (48) for preventing extraction of the tube (48) from the body member (26), as well as defeating removal of the body member (26) from the vehicle. A three-way system of adhesion (32, 34, 35) is employed which provides superior results.
