ABSTRACT In spite of a very long experience, on world-wide scale, (probably were used in pre-Roman times), many and various existing theories as well modern studies with experiments, bulkheads' struc- tural problems remain highly indeterminate. Earth pressure is a primary function of the soil-structure factors. By applying the presented invention it is possible to adapt the minimum soil pressure against the anchored bulkheads. The various components of the struc- tural system can be basically dimensioned with predetermined factor of safety. The adjustable anchored bulkheads' system can be applied to simi- lar anchored structures as well. By using this invention it is possible to achieve tremendous economy of material in construction of anchored bulkheads.
