An adjustable arm rest assembly comprises an arm rest; a horizontal plane attitude adjustment, adapted to support the arm rest; a vertical elevation adjustment; and, an arm rest bracket. The vertical elevation adjustment is adapted to be pivotally connected to the horizontal plane attitude adjustment to cooperably facilitate hinged adjustment of the horizontal attitude of said arm rest. The horizontal plane attitude adjustment and the vertical elevation adjustment have co-operable detent and block means adapted to be mutually resiliently secured in ones of a plurality of operably aligned registers corresponding to ones of a selectable plurality of horizontal attitudes for the arm rest. In operation there releasably secure the arm rest in a selected one attitude, with the detent and block positioned in mutually resiliently biased, releasably locked interfering relation to thereby releasably fix a relative hingedly interconnected positioning between the horizontal plane adjustment and the vertical elevation adjustment corresponding to a selected horizontal attitude of the arm rest. The arm rest frame bracket is adapted to receive the vertical elevation adjustment in vertically slidably positionable relation thereon, to cooperably facilitate adjustment of the vertical positioning of the arm rest. Respective co-operable locking members on the bracket and the vertical elevation adjustment are adapted to be selectively engaged in resiliently biased mutually interfitting register to thereby releasably interferingly secure the bracket and the vertical elevation adjustment in a predetermined vertically fixed position corresponding to a desired vertical position of the arm rest.
Ensemble d'accoudoir réglable comprenant un accoudoir; un réglage d'attitude en plan horizontal, adapté pour supporter l'accoudoir; un réglage vertical de hauteur; et un support d'accoudoir. Le réglage vertical de hauteur est adapté pour être raccordé sur pivot au réglage d'attitude en plan horizontal dans le but de faciliter de façon conjuguée le réglage articulé de l'attitude en plan horizontal dudit accoudoir. Le réglage d'attitude en plan horizontal et le réglage vertical de hauteur ont des moyens conjugués de détente et de blocage adaptés pour être mutuellement et élastiquement assujettis dans l'un d'une pluralité de registres fonctionnellement alignés et correspondant à l'un d'une pluralité au choix d'attitudes en plan horizontal pour l'accoudoir. En fonction, ils assujettissent de façon réversible l'accoudoir dans une atttiude choisie, les moyens de détente et de blocage étant mutuellement et élastiquement déviés et en relation interférente de verrouillage réversible de façon à fixer de manière réversible un positionnement relatif à raccordement articulé entre le réglage en plan horizontal et le réglage vertical de hauteur correspondant à une attitude choisie en plan horizontal de l'accoudoir. Le bâti support de l'accoudoir est adapté pour recevoir le réglage vertical de hauteur en relation de positionnement coulissant à la verticale pour faciliter le réglage en conjugaison du positionnement vertical de l'accoudoir. Des éléments de blocage conjugués respectifs sur le support et le réglage vertical de hauteur sont adaptés pour être sélectivement mis en prise sur des registres déviés élastiquement et s'assemblant mutuellement pour ainsi assujettir de façon interférente et réversible le support et le réglage vertical de hauteur en une position verticale fixe prédéterminée correspondant à la position verticale que l'on souhaite donner à l'accoudoir.
