The adjustable monitor support include a support arm slidable on a column support and lockable in any of a host of positions in the length of the column support. A locking arrangement which is part of the support arm locks the arm at a particular height. The column is easily mounted to a worksurface using a cable pass through a port as a socket for a base member. The monitor support is designed to be used for supporting a flat monitor screen.
