Adjustable attachment mechanism for coupling a first object to a second object includes a mounting surface and two lateral members mounted on the mounting surface so as to be opposed and separated by a distance. One or two pin receiving members, each including a pin receiving bore, are mounted on each lateral member so that each pin receiving member opposes another pin receiving member. A pin member is disposed through the pin receiving bores of two of the pin receiving members so that a portion of each pin member spans the distance between the lateral members. A position of at least one of the pin members is adjustable by varying the position, the angular orientation, or both the position and the angular orientation of the pin receiving members which support the pin member.
