ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electric lamp includes a shade which is mounted through a switch enclosure to a support arm. Typically, the switch enclosure and the shade are cylindrical with the shade being larger in diameter than the enclosure. The shade is supported eccentrically below the enclosure by means of an inturned bottom flange of the enclosure which supports a nylon ring to which is secured the shade. A glider ring is positioned between the underside of the flange and the top of the shade. This arrangement permits the shade to be turned easily with respect to the enclosure to different selected locations for illuminating different areas.
