In a fireproof plug with an associated plug screw the plug screw has a dual function. It fixes the plug in the penetration material and it is able to vary the distance of the articles relative to the penetration material. The combined metal plug consisting of a plug casing with a spreading cone and a plug screw is located in the plug casing and is integrated into the plug by means of a thread-guiding casing and the internal thread of the spreading cone wherein the plug screw has a diameter constriction designated as an intended breaking point. The spreading head with the spreading jaw is situated at the front end of the plug screw, held at a positioning distance by a spacer, and firmly connected to the plug screw by means of the fixing head and the plug is anchored in the penetration material by means of the spreading head by turning the plug screw by means of the plug screw head.
