To improve the illumination efficiency of hand-held illumination devices, this invention proposes a new illumina-tion device having the "rolling" function, which is capable of illuminating the target area on which a user is currently focusing and rolling the illuminated area as the user is reading forward or backward. The illumination device comprises two pluralities of light-ing elements, an illuminating body and a controller. The controller can control one plurality of lighting elements to emit light to il-luminate a part of the illuminating body, which can further deflect the light to a part of the surface of the target.

Dans le but d'améliorer l'efficacité d'éclairement de dispositifs d'éclairage portables, l'invention propose un dispositif d'éclairage inédit doté d'une fonction de "défilement" permettant d'éclairer une zone cible sur laquelle un utilisateur focalise son attention et de faire défiler la zone éclairée en avant ou en arrière en fonction du sens de lecture de l'utilisateur. Le dispositif d'éclairage comprend deux pluralités d'éléments lumineux, un corps d'éclairage et un module de commande. Le module de commande peut commander une pluralité d'éléments lumineux pour leur faire émettre de la lumière destinée à éclairer une partie du corps d'éclairage, lequel peut en outre modifier la direction de la lumière vers une partie de la surface de la zone cible.
