ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An adjustable knob assembly for operating a gas valve includes a rotatable knob affixable to the shaft of the gas valve and having a hub with an axially extending ridge. An annular pointer is angularly displaceably affixed to the hub and has opposed sets of adjacent grooves selectively alignable to engage the ridge on the hub, to permit angular displacement of the pointer with respect to the shaft.
