An improved adjustable assembly (30 or 230) for supporting a monitor (27) or the like under a transparent window portion (51 or 251) of a desk top member (21 or 251) or like structure. The assembly incorporates a shelf member (31 or 231) which is sup- ported at each lateral end thereof by a different side support (46 or 246A/246B). The shelf member (31) is preferably so support- ed by a locking block arrangement (52) for each of a total of four supporting shaft members (42A, 42B, 43A and 43B) that outwar- dly extend from the shelf member (31). The position of the shelf member (30 or 230) in relation to the side supports (46 or 246A/246B) is adjustable for height and tilting purposes. The shelf member (51 or 251) and the side supports (46 or 246A/246B) are formed of wire.
