A b s t r a c t An adjustable mould for casting stairways in concrete of the kind wherein the total length of the stairway and also the dimension of the separate steps can be adjusted. The mould comprises a longitudinal, substantially plane horizontal frame (1) having parallel, longitudinal supporting elements (2,2) and two on the support frame provided, identical parallel articulated arm systems (6,8) positioned scissors-like and being linked together at the intersection points of the arms in the system along the longitudinal center axis of the arm systems. At oppositely located outer links (11,11,13,13) in each arm unit are provided means (14,21) for pivotable support for a number of step units (16), each of which consisting of an "upstep" (20) and an "instep" (18), such that lateral side edges (25), on each instep substantially by its owen weight can rest against the upstep in adjacent step unit. The mould comprises further means (40) for adjustment of the total length of the articulated arm link system whereby simultaneous adjustment of the distance between each step unit, and also means (50) for adjustment of the angular position of the step units relative to the support frame.
