The positioning equipment is designed for a system of osteosynthesis for the spinal column comprising two anchoring members (6) to be set in a vertebra and a linking element (14) arranged for connecting the anchoring members, the system being adapted to have a configuration in which each anchoring member (6) is fixed to the linking element (14). The equipment comprises two arms (31) to be fixed to the anchoring members (6) and an element linking the arms (31) for connecting a part (26, 36) of each arm while defining a maximum spacing. The element linking the arms (31) comprises a rack (32) for being urged in attack with one (36) of the parts of the arms and fixed in rotation to the other part of the arm (26).

L'outillage de positionnement est destiné à un système d'ostéosynthèse pour colonne vertébrale comportant deux organes d'ancrage (6) à ancrer dans une vertèbre et un élément de liaison d'ancrage (14) adapté à relier les organes d'ancrage, le système étant adapté à avoir une configuration dans laquelle chaque organe d'ancrage (2, 4) est mobile et une configuration dans laquelle chaque organe d'ancrage (6) est fixé à l'élément de liaison d'ancrage (14). L'outillage comporte deux bras (8) à fixer aux organes d'ancrage (6) et un élément de liaison de bras (31) adapté à relier une partie (26, 36) de chaque bras en définissant un extremum d'écartement. L'élément de liaison de bras (31) comporte une crémaillère (32) adaptée à venir en prise avec l'une (36) des parties de bras et fixée à rotation à l'autre partie de bras (26).
