A plant supporting structure for supporting the stem and branches of a conventional plant. The supporting structure includes an elongated anchoring component, a carriage component slidably mounted on the anchoring component, a set of flexible supporting arms mounted on the carriage component and a prehension component fixed on the anchoring component in order to facilitate handling of the structure. The anchoring component preferably takes the form of a pair of elongated and tubular anchoring legs that extend in a spaced and parallel relationship relatively to one another from one end to the other where they merge into each other so as to define a merging arc. The carriage component is provided with a set of peripherally disposed channels extending longitudinally therethrough. The channels intercept the outer peripheral edge of the carriage component, thus defining a corresponding set of passages. The passages allow the arms to be snappingly inserted into the channels. The arms are made of a flexible yet supportive wire that is surrounded by an elastomeric sleeve. The arms are adapted to be bended in various configurations so as to follow the contour of the branches of the plant. A prehension component is positioned adjacent the top end of the device. The prehension component typically takes the form of a plate having a pair of opposed concave and textured surfaces. The anchoring legs are adapted to be anchored into the growing medium of the plant and to extend upwardly from the latter. The carriage component is adapted to slide relatively to the anchoring legs along the longitudinal axis of the device so as to allow height adjustment.
