The invention provides processes and apparatuses for mounting radiation treatment blocks on a radiation treatment block mounting plate, adjusting a radiation treatment block in a radiation treatment beam and forming a radiation treatment block, and a method of mounting a radiation treatment block on a radiation treatment block mounting plate that minimizes or eliminates the creation of toxic and hazardous dust and waste and radiation treatment block misalignment problems. The invention also provides an adjustable radiation treatment block mounting tray and method for easily and precisely adjusting a radiation treatment block to a radiation beam for the prescribed treatment of a patient, and apparatuses and methods for forming a radiation treatment block using a template with the perimetric outline of different sized radiation treatment blocks with a commercially-available foam block cutting machine to make a foam mold for casting a radiation treatment block.
L'invention concerne des procédés et des dispositifs pour montage d'un bloc de radiothérapie sur un plateau de montage, réglage dudit bloc en fonction du faisceau de rayons et formation d'un bloc de radiothérapie, ainsi qu'une méthode de montage sur un plateau d'un bloc de radiothérapie sur un plateau de montage qui permet de réduire ou d'empêcher la formation de poussières et de déchets toxiques et dangereux ainsi que les problème de mauvais alignement dudit bloc. L'invention concerne également un plateau de montage réglable pour bloc de radiothérapie permettant de régler ledit bloc facilement et avec précision, selon un faisceau de rayons approprié pour le traitement, ainsi que des dispositifs et de méthodes pour la réalisation d'un bloc de radiothérapie à l'aide d'un gabarit comportant des tracés de blocs différents au moyen d'une machine pour découpe de blocs de mousse.
