ABSTRACT An adjustable holder for a book or the like comprising: - a vertical stand mounted on a base, - clamping means adjustably secured to the stand and capable of vertical and rotational movement relative to the stand, - a horizontal arm attached to the clamping means, - a panel with bottom book ledge support, said panel being mounted on said horizontal arm for rotational movement about a first axis and tilting movement about a second axis, - said panel having a pair of wings, - resilient page holding means and means for adjustably securing said page holding means to said wings, - and a brush-like ribrous material covering said bottom book ledge support and adapted to resist unintentional movement of book pages.
