An adjustable resilient blade support for use in the forming section of a papermaking machine. The blade support is adjustable, both to allow the attached blade to be moved from a position where it is out of contact to a position where it is pressed into contact with the adjacent forming fabric, and to permit adjustment of the blade orientation relative to the surface of the forming fabric. The blade support is also resilient, and thus allows the blade to respond to transient localised changes in the path of the forming fabric with which it is in contact. The adjustable resilient blade support of this invention is thus of use in an open surface forming section, and also is of use in forming sections in which two forming fabrics are used.
L'invention concerne un support de lame élastique réglable utilisé dans la partie de formage d'une machine à papier. Ce support de lame peut être réglé de façon à permettre à la lame fixée de se déplacer entre une position sans contact et une position de contact par pression contre un tissu de formage adjacent, et à permettre le réglage de l'orientation de la lame par rapport à la surface de ce tissu de formage. En outre, ledit support de lame est élastique et permet à la lame de s'adapter à des changements localisés transitoires de trajet du tissu de formage avec lequel elle est en contact. On peut ainsi utiliser le support de lame élastique réglable de l'invention dans une partie de formage à surface ouverte et dans des parties de formage où deux tissus de formage sont utilisés.
