ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a hinge for doors or furniture and the like, especially of the semi-concealed single-joint variety, and provides a mechanism to achieve accurate vertical and lateral adjustment. The hinge includes a first plate carrying a support arm which in turn is connected to the appropriate hinge structure on the door. A second plate may be attached to the frame of the furniture piece, the second plate having wedge-like surfaces which engage appropriate surfaces in the first plate so that as the first plate is moved relative to the second plate both plates will maintain a parallel orientation. A screw or other fastening means can be used to clamp the two plates together and to secure the hinge to the frame piece.
