Adjustable steps (2) extend between two parallel stringboards (3). Each stringboard (3) includes two locking flanges (4) and each step (2) is supported by four pivotable blocks (7, 8) each securable to a flange (4) by means of a nut (17). Two threaded rods (13, 16) extending through the step and between the stringboards engage two respective nuts (17) combined with two opposite blocks. The height of each step of the staircase may be adjusted by changing the spacing between the blocks (7, 8) along each flange (4). The horizontal position of the steps may be adjusted by changing the vertical distance between the front blocks (7) and rear blocks (8) along the stringboards, regardless of the angle at which the stringboards were fitted. A universal staircase may thus be achieved.
Des marches (2) à positions réglables s'étendent entre deux limons parallèles (3). Chaque limon (3) comprend deux ailes de serrage (4) et chaque marche (2) est tenue par quatre sabots pivotants (7, 8) pouvant être bloqués chacun sur une aile (4) par un écrou (17). Deux tiges filetées (13, 16) s'étendant à l'intérieur de la marche dans le sens de la largeur de la marche coopèrent chacune avec deux écrous (17) associés à deux sabots opposés. En réglant l'écartement entre sabots (7, 8) le long de chaque nervure (4) on peut régler la hauteur de marche de l'escalier. En réglant le décalage entre les sabots avant (7) et les sabots arrière (8) le long des limons, on règle l'horizontalité des marches quelle que soit l'inclinaison donnée aux limons lorsque l'escalier est installé. Utilisation pour réaliser un escalier universel.
