The invention is directed to a height-adjustable work surface assembly having a movable work surface. A frame extends from beneath the work surface to provide a support for the work surface. The frame has at least one sleeve directed downward from beneath the work surface and a leg adjustably received within the sleeve. The leg has a cavity with a rack secured therein. Aninterlocking block is positioned within the cavity for engagement along the length of the rack. A first fastening mechanism extends through the sleeve and leg, andis movably fastened to the block in order to secure the block in a given position against the rack. The work surface height may be adjusted by the relative positioning of the leg within the sleeve of the frame as determined by the relative positioning of the block along the length of the rack. According to another aspect of the invention a wedge is received within the cavity of the leg and is positioned adjacent an end of the rack. The wedge has an angled surface positioned against the end of the rack. The end of the rack has an angled surface substantially corresponding to the angled surface of the wedge.
Cette invention concerne un plan de travail réglable en hauteur et mobile. Un châssis est fixé à la face inférieure du plan de travail pour en assurer le supportage. Le châssis comprend au moins un manchon orienté vers le bas par rapport au plan de travail et une patte destinée à coulisser dans le manchon. Cette patte comporte un évidement où est logée une crémaillère. Un bloc de verrouillage également disposé dans l'évidement de la patte s'imbrique dans l'un des crans de la crémaillère. Un premier organe de fixation traverse le manchon et la patte pour fixer de façon amovible le bloc de verrouillage dans un des crans de la crémaillère. La hauteur du plan de travail se règle en modifiant la position de la patte à l'intérieur du manchon à l'aide du bloc de verrouillage que l'on déplace le long de la crémaillère. Selon un autre aspect de l'invention, une cale est placée dans l'évidement de la patte contre un des bouts de la crémaillère. Cette cale présente une surface inclinée qui reçoit en aboutement le bout correspondant de la crémaillère qui présente une inclinaison sensiblement de même ordre que la cale.
