ABSTRACT An improved air current deflector shield is provided having a substantially horizontal base portion and a deflecting portion extending upwardly from the base portion so as to deflect air over the hood and windshield of a vehicle when the vehicle is moving forwardly. The base portion includes a plurality of elongated mounting slots which are aligned with corresponding holes in the hood. Fastening screws extend through the slots and are threadably received in the hood holes. In mounting the shield upon the hood, the screws are partially threaded into the holes, such that the shield is loosely secured and can be laterally adjusted with respect to the hood to a desired position. The screws are then tightened to hold the shield in the selected position.
