The adjustment mechanism (10) includes a stationary first member (12) and a second member (20) telescopingly mounted in the first member. The first member is mounted with a second end (12B) adjacent the ground surface. The second member is mounted with the second end (20B) in the first end (12A) of the first member and the first end adjacent to and in contact with the underneath surface (102A) of the work surface (102). A threaded member (26) is rotatably connected at the first end (26A) to the upper end (20A) of the second member. The second end (26B) of the screw extends down through a top nut (38) fixably mounted on one end of a nut support (36). The other end of the nut support is mounted on the lower end of the first member. A spring (40) is mounted around the screw and the nut support extends between the lower end of the first member and the upper end of the second member. An operating mechanism is used to rotate the screw. The operating mechanism allows for fewer rotations of the handle (62) of the operating mechanism to move the work surface the desired amount.
L'invention concerne un mécanisme de réglage (10) comprenant un premier élément fixe (12) et un second élément (20) monté télescopique dans le premier élément. Celui-ci est monté de manière que la seconde extrémité (12B) soit adjacente à la surface du sol. Le second élément est monté de manière que la seconde extrémité (12B) se trouve dans la première extrémité (12A) du premier élément et que la première extrémité soit adjacente à la surface du dessous (102A) de la surface du poste de travail (102) et qu'elle soit en contact avec cette dernière. Un élément fileté (26) est relié rotatif, au niveau de la première extrémité (26A), à l'extrémité supérieure (20A) du second élément. La seconde extrémité (26B) de la vis s'étend vers le bas dans un écrou supérieur (38) fixé sur une extrémité d'un support d'écrou (36). L'autre extrémité dudit support est montée sur l'extrémité inférieure du premier élément. Un ressort (40) est monté autour de la vis et le support d'écrou s'étend entre la partie inférieure du premier élément et la partie supérieure du second élément. Un mécanisme de fonctionnement est mis en oeuvre afin de faire tourner la vis. Ce mécanisme permet d'effectuer une moindre rotation de la poignée (62) dudit mécanisme en vue de déplacer la surface de travail à la hauteur souhaitée.
