Adjustment Method Pipelayer Control System Abstract An adjusting mechanism is provided between a valve spool and a valve actuating lever whereby with the lever locked in a selected position, the mechanism is manipulated to move an element carried by the valve spool into alignment with an indicator that has been predetermined to be the selected setting of the valve. With the element aligned with the indicator, the mechanism is locked so that the valve spool is in the selected setting when the lever is in the selected position. A lock-down apparatus is provided for use in locking the lever in the selected position while the adjusting mechanism is being manipulated.
