ADSORBENT FOR ETHYLENE AND PROCESS FOR PREPARATION THEREOF Abstract Of The Disclosure The specification discloses a novel adsorbent for ethylene prepared by contacting an active carbon with at least one metal substance selected from the group con- sisting of copper, iron, cobalt, nickel, and their salts in the presence of nitric acid heating the same at a temperature of 150 to 900°C in an atmosphere of inert gas and thereby producing an adsorbent containing 0.01 to 20% by weight of said metal(s) therein. The adsorbent has a very good ability to adsorb ethylene, even when present in small concentrations, and also absorbs various other substances.
