A computerized system and method for viewing a set of voxel data on a display device attached to a computer is disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, the computerized system has a number of different components. A retrieve data set component retrieves the set of voxel data, the set of voxel data having already been acquired in accordance with acquisition parameters of a protocol. A protocol selector component selects the protocol in accordance with the set of voxel data retrieved, the protocol including preset adjustments for the volume-rendering of the data. An image gallery component displays one or more images of the set of voxel data in accordance with the preset adjustments of the protocol. An examination viewer component permits the changing of the preset adjustments of the protocol as to a particular image selected within the image gallery component. A report generator and viewer component generates a report based on snag shots of images taken within the examination viewer component. A print and post component prints the generated report to a printer operatively coupled to the computer, and/or posts the report as an HTML file to a web browser for retrieval over the Internet or an intranet.
L'invention porte sur un système informatisé et un procédé de visualisation d'un ensemble de données de voxels sur un visuel relié à un ordinateur. Dans une variante, le système informatisé comporte plusieurs composants différents. Un élément de recherche d'ensembles de données récupère l'ensemble de données de voxels, déjà acquis en fonction des paramètres d'acquisition d'un protocole. Un élément de sélection de protocole sélectionne le protocole en fonction de l'ensemble de données de voxels récupéré, ledit protocole comportant des réglages préétablis rendant le volume des données. Un élément de galerie d'images affiche une ou plusieurs images de l'ensemble de données de voxels en fonction des réglages préétablis du protocole. Un élément de visualisation à des fins d'examen permet de modifier les réglages préétablis du protocole relativement à une image particulière choisie dans l'élément de galerie d'images. Un élément générateur de rapports et de visualisation établi un rapport sur la base d'instantanés d'images prises dans l'élément de visualisation à des fins d'examen. Un élément d'impression/expédition imprime le rapport ainsi créé sur une imprimante fonctionnellement reliée à l'ordinateur et/ou expédie le rapport sous forme de fichier HTML à un navigateur du WEB pour qu'il soit récupéré via Internet ou un intranet.
