The invention relates to a method of searching, drafting and editing of electronic files comprising the use of one or more peripheral computers, each computer handling an assembly of one or more updatable data bases comprising electronic documents, said electronic documents comprising information suitable to identify the same documents, each peripheral computer handling searches for, drafting of, communication about, and editing of, documents, the method being characterised in that said data base assembly provides one or more catalogues relevant to the documents, the search of documents or of part of documents being carried out employing at least one search criteria comprising the use of one or more catalogues. The invention further relates to apparatuses and instruments necessary for carrying out the method according to the invention.
Cette invention concerne un procédé de recherche, de rédaction et d'édition de fichiers électroniques, qui consiste à utiliser un ou plusieurs ordinateurs périphériques, chaque ordinateur gérant un ensemble d'une ou de plusieurs bases de données à mise à jour contenant des documents électroniques. Ces documents électroniques contiennent des informations pouvant identifier de manière appropriée les mêmes documents. Chaque ordinateur périphérique gère la recherche, la rédaction, la transmission et l'édition de documents. Le procédé se caractérise en ce que cet ensemble de bases de données fournit un ou plusieurs catalogues se rapportant aux documents, la recherche de documents ou de parties de documents étant effectuée d'après au moins un critère de recherche consistant à exploiter un ou plusieurs catalogues. L'invention concerne en outre des appareils et des instruments nécessaires pour mettre en oeuvre le procédé de l'invention.
