The present invention describes a method of culturing a micro-organism under aerobic conditions in a fermentation vessel comprising the injection of a first oxygen-containing gas into the lower portion of the vessel in a heterogeneous flow causing a chaotic motion of the broth and the introduction of a second oxygen-containing gas in the vessel characterised by introducing the second oxygen-containing gas as a heterogeneous flow of gas bubbles moving in the vessel in all possible directions, independent of the direction of the flow of the broth resulting in turbulent flow conditions at the site of injection; and as a set of gas bubbles of non-uniform size and a wide size distribution.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de mise en culture d'un micro-organisme dans des conditions aérobie, dans une cuve de fermentation. Le procédé consiste à injecter un premier gaz contenant de l'oxygène dans la partie inférieure de la cuve, sous forme d'un écoulement hétérogène provoquant un mouvement chaotique du bouillon de culture, et à introduire un second gaz contenant de l'oxygène dans la cuve. Ce procédé est caractérisé par l'introduction du second gaz contenant de l'oxygène sous forme d'un écoulement hétérogène de bulles de gaz se déplaçant dans la cuve dans toutes les directions possibles, indépendamment de la direction de l'écoulement du bouillon de culture, ce qui provoque des conditions d'écoulement turbulent sur le lieu d'injection ; et sous forme d'un ensemble de bulles de gaz présentant une taille non uniforme et une large distribution de tailles.
