An aerosol cleaning composition for hard surfaces is provided with a surprisingly enhanced bathroom soil removal capability. The dispensable includes: (a) an an-ionic, nonionic, amphoteric surfactant, and mixtures thereof with optionally, a quaternary ammonium surfactant, the total amount of said surfactant being present in a cleaning effective amount; (b) at least one water-soluble or dispersible organic solvent having a vapor pressure of at least 0.001 mm Hg at 25 °C, said at least one organic solvent present in a solubilizing - or dispersion - effective amount; (c) a chelating agent selected from the group consisting of tri- or tetrapotassium ethylenediamine-tetraacetate (potassium EDTA), tri- or tetraammonium ethylenediamine-tetraacetate (ammonium EDTA) and mixtures thereof, said chelating agent present in an amount effective to enhance bathroom soil removal in said composition; (d) an effective amount of a propellant; and (e) the remainder, water. The preferred nonionic surfactant is an alkyl polyglycoside which provides a formulation stable to containment within a tin-plated steel can and which also facilitates processing of the composition.

L'invention concerne une composition de nettoyage aérosol pour surfaces dures, qui présente une capacité accrue d'élimination de salissures de salle de bains. La composition renferme: (a) un tensioactif anionique, non ionique, amphotère et des mélanges de celui-ci, avec éventuellement un tensioactif d'ammonium quaternaire, la quantité totale dudit tensioactif étant efficace du point de vue du nettoyage; (b) au moins un solvant organique soluble dans l'eau ou dispersable présentant une pression de vapeur d'au moins 0,001 mm Hg à 25 DEG C, ledit solvant organique étant présent en quantité efficace du point de vue de la solubilisation ou de la dispersion; (c) un agent chélatant sélectionné dans le groupe constitué d'éthylènediamine-tétraacétate de tripotassium ou de tétrapotassium (EDTA de potassium), d'éthylènediamine-tétraacétate de triammonium ou de tétraammonium (EDTA d'ammonium) et de mélanges de ceux-ci, ledit agent chélatant étant présent en quantité efficace pour améliorer la capacité d'élimination de salissures de salle de bains de ladite composition; (d) une quantité efficace d'un agent propulseur; et (e) le reste en eau. Le tensioactif non ionique préféré est un polyglycoside d'alkyle qui permet d'obtenir une formulation stable au confinement dans une boîte en fer-blanc, et qui facilite également le traitement de la composition.
