An afocal zoom lens system comprises an object, an objective lens group of a positive refractive power, an erecting optical group, and an eyepiece lens group of a positive refractive power. The objective lens group includes a first lens unit of positive refractive power, a second lens unit of a negative refractive power and a third lens unit of a positive refractive power. The first lens unit and the second lens unit are movable when zooming.
