An agent for improving lawn grass quality containing, as active ingredients, 5-aminolevulinic acid represented by formula (1): R2R1NCH2COCH2CH2COR3 (1) wherein R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an acyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group; and R3 represents a hydroxyl group, an alkoxy group, an acyloxy group, an alkoxycarbonyloxy group, an aryloxy group, an aralkyloxy group or an amino group, or a derivative thereof or a salt of the acid or the derivative, and a gibberellin biosynthesis inhibitor.

La présente invention concerne un agent d'amélioration de la qualité du gazon ayant des effets remarquables pour ce qui est de favoriser une petite taille, de renforcer les tiges, d'augmenter le nombre de feuilles et de rendre le gazon encore plus vert. L'invention concerne donc un agent d'amélioration de la qualité du gazon comprenant en tant qu'ingrédients actifs de l'acide 5-aminolévulinique ou un dérivé ou un sel de celui-ci, de formule générale (1) et un inhibiteur de la biosynthèse de la gibbérelline. Formule générale (1)         R2R1NCH2COCH2CH2COR3  (1) où R1 et R2 représentent indépendamment l'un de l'autre un atome d'hydrogène, un groupe alkyle, un groupe acyle, un groupe alcoxycarbonyle, un groupe aryle ou un groupe aralkyle ; et R3 représente un groupe hydroxy, un groupe alcoxy, un groupe acyloxy, un groupe alcoxycarbonyloxy, un groupe aryloxy, un groupe aralkyloxy ou un groupe amino.
