Abstract of the disclosure Agents which contain a combination product of 30 to 90% by weight of 3-trifluoromethyl-4-nitrophenol, which con- tains 12 to 20% by weight of water, with 10 to 70% by weight of a basic salt of the alkaline earth series or of the metals Zn(II), Al(III), Fe(II) or Fe(III), where appropriate in the presence of a polyalkylene glycol, are suitable and advantageous for controling lampreys, because they release the active compound in a delayed manner.
