An agitating machine blends paints, varnishes, inks, and similar materials. The agitating machine has a shaft attached to a direct drive motor reducer. The shaft is connected to a fixed arm that imparts the direct drive movement to a bevel gear that, by means of a shaft, belt and toothed pulleys, transfers the motion to a lower plate and an upper plate cooperating with said lower plate and connected to a mobile arm, with a mechanism to accommodate a can between the upper plate and the lower plate.
