AGRICULTURAL BAG LOADING APPARATUS ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an improvement in an agricultural bag loading apparatus in which silage is forced into an agricultural bag. The improvement is comprised of at least one drum rotatably mounted on the loading apparatus. A brake is provided for resisting the rotation of the drum with a selected brake force. A cable is wrapped around the drum in a single layer to prevent excessive wear of the cable. A securing unit is provided for securing the end of the cable to restrain the end of the bag so that the cable is pulled off the drum against the brake force of the brake as the agricultural bag is filled with silage.
