A B S T R A C T The invention relates to N-(heterocyclic amino-carbonyl) arylsulfonamides in which the aryl radical is substituted by a carboxyl radical and esters, thioesters or amides thereof. These arylsulfonamides and their agriculturally suitable salts are useful as agricultural chemicals e.g. plant growth regulants and herbicides.
