The valve assembly (10) is comprised of a valve body (11) having an internal valve chamber (16) in communication with the ambient environment with a valve seat (17) of a predetermined configuration. The assembly further has a cap structure (12) with means (20) to position and align a sealing membrane (25) with respect to the valve seat (17). A flexible elastomeric sealing diaphragm (25) is provided which is under tension when the diaphragm is in sealing configuration. A carrier plate structure (20) may be provided to position the sealing diaphragm (25). The sealing member (25) is in tension adjacent to the sealing seat (17) when in a sealing position.
Ensemble clapet (10) composé d'un corps de clapet (11) possédant une chambre intérieure (16) communiquant avec le milieu ambiant par un siège de clapet (17) présentant une configuration prédéterminée. Cet ensemble comporte, de plus, une coiffe (12) pourvue de moyens (20) servant à placer et à aligner une membrane d'étanchéité (25) par rapport au siège (17). La membrane d'étanchéité (25) souple élastomère est sous tension quand elle se trouve en position d'étanchéité. Une plaque de support (20) peut éventuellement servir à positionner la membrane d'étanchéité (25). Cette dernière est sous tension en position contiguë au siège (17) quand elle se trouve en configuration d'étanchéité.
